Sidama Union sells coffee beans to the international market as well as the national market. Their vision is to improve the income and standard of living of local coffee farmers. The Union is owned by 46 Coffee Farmer Cooperatives with a total member of 87.000 farmers. Sidama helped these thousands of smallholder farmers to get premium prices for their coffee by offering them quality certifications. (like Rain Forest Alliance,FLO FairTrade, UTZ) Farmers are enabled to feed themselves and invest in new infrastructure such as roads, grain mills, schools and access to electricity. *18 employees

Because of the fact that the Union is owned by 46 farmers’ cooperatives, which are independent establishments located in different areas, a well designed organization structure is required. You will support the Union by co-developing a clear organisational design. In addition, the proper management of information is of critical importance for both the Union management and the member cooperatives.

You are an experienced consultant in management & organisation. Within an organisation you know how to put the right people in the right place(s). And you know how to ensure synergy and efficiency. Furthermore you are flexible, are able to co-create and have affinity with coffee.

Also, to participate in an Expert Programme you need to have:

- at least five years of relevant working experience
- at least have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

Participation in this programme is on a voluntary basis. International travelling expenses are to be paid by the participant. SharePeople charges the participant a reasonable fee for which he/she receives matching, preparation, training (intercultural and safety) and work materials. However, the local organization facilitates full board & lodging and local transportation for the participant.
Personal coaching by a professional coach is optional in this programme but comes with additional costs.
