Their service is to find an appropriate match between social enterprises and international interns. They also provide additional services like assistance with accommodation, transport and orienting to life in Cape Town. The mission of Connect2CapeTown is to provide human resources to social enterprises, thereby assisting them in their social mission. The company also aims to provide international interns the ability to work in a social enterprise, and gain valuable career work experience. It is a new company, in start up phase.
At this stage Connect2CapeTown's main challenge is to develop a marketing and sales strategy, in particular to reach overseas clients in a fairly competitive environment. You will support this company in Marketing and Sales.
You are experienced in the field of marketing and sales. Experience in the tourism or volunteering industry is an assett.
Also, to participate in an Expert Programme you need to have:
- at least five years of relevant working experience
- at least have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
Participation in this programme is on a voluntary basis. International travelling expenses are to be paid by the participant. SharePeople charges the participant a reasonable fee for which he/she receives matching, preparation, training (intercultural and safety) and work materials. However, the local organization facilitates full board & lodging and local transportation for the participant.
Personal coaching by a professional coach is optional in this programme but comes with additional costs.
