SharePeople is looking for an expert in marketing for the Ethiopian organisation the Union. The Union supplies agricultural inputs and equipment, small scale irrigation facilities and improved seeds. They also advise smallholder farmers on the proper irrigation and farm management. The union is owned by 16 Irrigation Development Cooperatives, consisting of 257 member vegetable farmers. The Union helps these smallholder farmers to access agricultural inputs and equipment in their vicinity for a reasonable price. Farmers are enabled to grow and double their harvest using irrigation. * employing 5 staff and 7 board members

The Union needs your help in exploring growth possibilities and a strategy on how to create that growth. They would like to have answers to questions like; How to reach market potential? How to strengthen their market position? How to use and show their USP's? During your stay in Ethiopia you will help this organisation with a practical marketing & sales plan.

You are an experienced marketeer able to develop a practical marketing plan. You are flexible, enjoy teamwork, are able to work with deadlineshave and affinity with agriculture is an asset.

Also, to participate in an Expert Programme you need to have:

- at least five years of relevant working experience
- at least have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

Participation in this programme is on a voluntary basis. International travelling expenses are to be paid by the participant. SharePeople charges the participant a reasonable fee for which he/she receives matching, preparation, training (intercultural and safety) and work materials. However, the local organization facilitates full board & lodging and local transportation for the participant.
Personal coaching by a professional coach is optional in this programme but comes with additional costs.
