Sumaq Qara is a company in Peru which commercializes handicraft and textile. They employ women who live in extreme poverty and who have been victims of terrorism. The company provides technical assistance and training. Sumaq Qara helps the women to strengthen their technical capabilities, which allows them to develop their personal skills for better employability.

Sumaq Qara offers a wide range of handmade products like: handbags, wallets, pillows, belts and home decoration. They take care of the environment and health of their workers, because of using natural materials and the dyeing of the fabrics. The company is working with organized groups of women from poor rural areas. Despite their disadvantaged situation, these women show a lot of creativity and capacity by making wonderful products!

Together with the CEO, you will write a business plan. Sumaq Qara has ambitions for the future like creating a new project and growth of the company. Therefore, they need an expert to assist in writing a business plan, in order to find investors to start these new activities.

Therefore, your key deliverables will be

• business plan
• investment plan

You are an expert in business planning and you speak Spanish.

Also, to participate in an Expert Programme you need to have:
- at least five years of relevant working experience
- at least finished an HBO-education or have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

Participation in this programme is on a voluntary basis. International travelling expenses are to be paid by the participant. SharePeople charges the participant a reasonable fee for which he/she receives matching, preparation, training (intercultural and safety) and work materials. However, the local organization facilitates full board & lodging and local transportation for the participant.
Personal coaching by a professional coach is optional in this programme but comes with additional costs.
